Type: Stolen Snowmobile

Incident #: 17-9046

Date: March 14, 2017

Incident: On March 14th, 2017 sometime between 4:00-5:00 a.m. a snowmobile was stolen from the bed of a pickup truck. The pickup truck was parked on the roadway on Ninth Avenue. The snowmobile is a 2010 Polaris TRG silver plated. The snowmobile has a black seat and the hood is silver.

Location: Powerline Road

Incident: On March 13, 2017 at 7:55pm, Officers attended a two car motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Powerline Road and Brantwood Park Road. The investigating officer detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage coming from one of the driver’s breath and issued a breath demand to provide by the roadside into an approved screening device. The results were a fail and the accused was arrested and transported to the BPS. The accused provided two samples of his breath which is required by law. The results were a reading of over the legal limit. The accused a 23 year old Lynden man was charged with Over 80 milligrams. The accused was also found to be in possession of marijuana and was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Further the accused licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle he was driving was impounded for 7 days. The accused was released with a future court date.
