Details: Brantford Police attended to a Greenfield residence after the homeowner called police that two males had broken into the home and stole items on Thursday March 10, 2016 at 430pm. One of the suspects had a handgun.
Shortly before police were called the lone homeowner answered a knock at the door. Two males pushed their way into the home. One of the males asked the victim for money numerous times, the other male was seen holding a handgun. Even after being told there was no money in the home, the male continued to ask for money. The second male searched the home alone. Prior to leaving, some electronics from the residence were taken. The victim was not injured.
Police are investigating and are not able to substantiate why the victim was targeted.
Suspect #1 was a short male, medium build, with short dark hair, 30 years old wearing all black and he had a tattoo on his neck.
Suspect #2was a taller male with lots of tattoos and was wearing a dark shirt. Suspect # 2 had the handgun.
Type: MVC – Impaired Driver
Location: Brant Ave at Paris Road
Details: On March 11th, 2016 around 12:01 a.m., a male driver was proceeding southbound on Paris Road near Ava Road and Brant Avenue. The driver lost control of the vehicle and drove across two grass medians striking curbs, damaging the vehicle before striking a guardrail on the side of Brant Avenue causing substantial damage to the motor vehicle and minor property damage.
Police attended to investigate the single vehicle collision which had occurred. Police observed that the driver had signs of impairment and a roadside tests was completed which resulted in a fail”. Once taken to the Police Station for a breath test
