Incident: Brantford Police Major Crime Unit and Forensic Unit along with assistance from Waterloo Regional Police Forensic Identification Unit completed the search at the residence of Saturday’s homicide around 730pm on February 10, 2016.

The knife believed used was located and seized. Some of the evidence collected at the scene will need to be sent away to the Centre of Forensic Science in Toronto for analysis.

Police would like to inform the public that the two cats, which were in good condition, were located in the residence, fed and were turned over to a family friend.

At this time, all searches have been completed. The Crown’s package for the entire police investigation will be turned over shortly to the Crown Attorney’s office.
