Date: June 7, 2016

Location: Grey Street (0-100 Block)

Incident: On Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at approximately 5:30 a.m. a man attended a business on Grey Street and threw a rock through the front window causing it to break. The man entered the business through the broken window and used a towel to hide his face. Once inside the business, he took several items before fleeing. Community Patrol Officers were contacted and investigated. Through investigation, police were able to determine the identity of man. At approximately 7:55 a.m., police located the man and arrested him. As a result, a 21 year-old Brantford man is charged with Break and Enter, Disguise, and Possession of Stolen Property. He was held for a bail hearing.

Date: June 7, 2016

Location: Clarence Street (200 Block)

Incident: On Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at approximately 1:40 p.m., a woman attended a business on Clarence Street. While inside, she selected various items off of the shelves. Some of the items the woman placed in her cart and some she concealed in her purse. The woman then proceeded to the checkout where she paid for some of the items, but not the ones concealed in her purse. She then exited the store. Community Patrol Officers were contacted and investigated the incident. As a result, a 33 year-old Brantford woman was arrested and charged with Theft Under, Possession of Stolen Property, and Breach of Probation x’s 2. She was held for a bail hearing.
