Type: Arrest- Domestic Dispute

Incident: On Thursday, November 3, 2016, Police attended to a Nelson Street address regarding a domestic dispute.
Police investigation revealed the accused and victim had become involved in a verbal argument which became physical. The victim was able to flee from the residence to a neighbours for safety.
The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention.
The accused was subsequently located later in the day and was placed under arrest for Assault, Choking and Mischief Under $5,000
The accused was transported to the Brantford Police station to be held for bail.

Type: Impaired Driver
Locations: Wayne Gretzky Parkway
Incident: On November 4, 2016 at 230am staff from a Wayne Gretzky restaurant approached a police cruiser and advised that an intoxicated female was leaving the restaurant and is believed to be heading to her vehicle to drive. The staff described the woman and gave a brief description of her vehicle.
The officer observed the same described vehicle leaving the parking lot and stopped the vehicle. The driver, a female was requested to provide a roadside test. The female became argumentative and refused to provide a sample of her breath. As a result, 46 yr old Brandie GAIRNS from Brantford was charged with Refusal of a Breath Demand. The female’s driver’s license was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
