Bradley Young Arrested For Dangerous Driving, Mischief and Causing a Disturbance

On July 29th, 2014 the Hanover Police Service and West Grey Police Service responded to numerous incidents of mischief, dangerous driving and disturbing the peace within the Town of Hanover and Municipality of West Grey.

A suspect identified as Bradley Young, age 52 of Guelph was arrested by Guelph Police Service later in the day and returned to Hanover Police Service.

The joint investigations determined that shortly before 12 noon Young drove a blue pick-up truck across several sidewalks and on several lawns leaving skid marks. He stopped at several businesses in Hanover and West Grey exited his vehicle and threw eggs at the buildings while being in a fit of rage. Young also attended a dentist office in Hanover yelling obscenities at employees and patients of the dentist office while throwing eggs inside the office. It was determined that he also attended the Hanover Civic Centre and began yelling obscenities at Town of Hanover employees. The investigation determined that all the locations were targeted by Young.

On July 30th Young was taken to bail court in Walkerton and later released from custody on a recognizance of bail, one of his conditions being not to attend Grey or Bruce Counties unless for legal reasons. He is scheduled to return to court on August 18th, 2014 to answer to his charges. Young has been charged with five counts of mischief and one count of causing a disturbance in West Grey along with four counts of mischief, two counts of dangerous driving and two counts of causing a disturbance in Hanover.
