Both Drivers In Water Filled Ditch After Collision

Location: SAWMILL RD and NEW JERUSALEM RD, WOOLWICH ON Canada

On Sunday, November 15th, 2015 at approximately 3:45 p.m., a grey GMC pickup hauling scrap metal driven by a 48 year old Waterloo man was southbound on New Jerusalem Road and stopped for a stop sign at Sawmill Road. At the same time, a black Dodge Grand Caravan driven by a 66 year old Elmira woman was eastbound on Sawmill Road approaching the same intersection. The pickup proceed to cross Sawmill Road, however was struck by the van. Both vehicles ended up in a water filled ditch at the southeast corner of the intersection. Emergency services attended. Both drivers and two passengers in the minivan sustained minor injuries, transported to Grand River Hospital by ambulance, treated and released.
