(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers with the assistance of the West Region Forensic Identification Services (FIS) Unit continue to investigate the theft of two Ford Super Duty trucks that were stolen this past weekend from the Dungannon area.
Police believe the connected thefts may have taken place sometime around 4:00 a.m. on June 10, 2017. The thieves stole one of the trucks, a white 2017 Ford F-250 Super-Duty Platinum Edition from an address located just south of Dungannon. The second truck, a white 2017 Ford F-450 Super-Duty Platinum Edition was stolen from a business located on Dungannon Road. The thieves forced entry into the business by smashing through a perimeter gate then they forced entry into the business where they located the keys to the Ford F-450 Super Duty.
Later that day around 3:00 p.m. police received a call from a property owner in Huron-Kinloss to report he had located the Ford F-450 Super Duty stuck in a swamp on his property. The vehicle was towed out and was processed by investigators.
Police are still searching for the stolen white, Ford F-250 Super Duty Platinum Edition valued at approximately $82,000.
