Body Found In Vaughan – Homicide Unit Investigating

The York Regional Police Homicide Unit is investigating and seeking witnesses after a body was found in the City of Vaughan.

On Thursday, December 1, 2016, at approximately 3:30 p.m., York Regional Police responded to the area of Howland Drive and Nashville Road, west of Highway 27 and located the body of a deceased female.

The victim has not yet been identified. At this time investigators believe that the deceased is female of Middle Eastern decent and appears to be an adult.

The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and are appealing for anyone who observed anything suspicious in the area between November 30, 2016, and December 1, 2016, to please come forward.

Nashville Road in both directions is closed from Stevenson Avenue to Highway 27 for the investigation and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
