At Tuesday’s council meeting, current North Huron Councillor Bernie
Bailey stated he opposed Rapid Response for medical
emergencies. This is despite the fact the Mayor stated that
several hearts have been started by the Rapid Response units.
Those started hearts represent saved lives. In the realm of
logical debate, that would have ended the discussion. Why
would someone oppose a system that is saving lives, and at a reduced
cost to the taxpayers? Bailey also stated a 13 minute response
time can’t be done
