Members of the Owen Sound Police Drug Unit arrested a 23 year old man in the 1100 block of 2nd Avenue East following a drug trafficking investigation.
Investigators seized a small quantity of crystal meth, a digital scale, and drug packaging. Also seized was a replica type handgun which turned out to be a BB pistol and a prohibtited knife.
Benjamin Talbot 23 years of no fixed address has been charged with possession of crystal meth for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order. Talbot is subject to a firearms prohibition order from a previous drug trafficking conviction.
He will appear in the Owen Sound Court on Wednesday morning for a bail hearing.
