(HURON EAST, ON) – On October 12, 2011 between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. a residence on Newry Road in Huron East was entered and ransacked. Huron County OPP officers responded and discovered numerous items had been stolen including two firearms that were properly registered, locked and stored. The firearms are described as a 30-30 calibre, lever action, Winchester model 94 rifle, bearing serial # 2466845 and a 12 gauge pump action shotgun, Remington express magnum, model 870, bearing serial # A394042M; the ammunition for the firearms was stolen as well.
Three chainsaws, tools, a tool chest, hunting clothing and equipment, money, a TV, and two crossbows were also reported stolen.
