Barrie Police received a 911 call to a Tiffin Street address which has been the scene of an ongoing neighbour dispute between a male and female.
The argument escalated to the point where today, a male friend of the female’s attended the address to discuss it with the male neighbour. Upon attending the area he was struck with a wooden club causing contusions and several large bumps about his head.
Officers arrived with ambulance who transported the victim to hospital while police transported the assailant to police headquarters for investigation.
The victim is expected to make a full recovery while the assailant was held in custody for a bail hearing in the morning.

Barrie Police are investigating 4 separate break and enters that occurred during the early afternoon hours on the 26th of June 2015. Police believe that the suspects selected homes in the Big Bay Point and Yonge area that had front doors secluded from view. Sucpect would then kick the door in to gain entry. Police are reminding the public to be extra diligent and report any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area.

Barrie Police are currently investigating a robbery which occurred late Friday night at a convenience store on Marsellus Drive. At around midnight two male suspects entered the store, both wearing masks and brandishing black hand guns. The suspects fled on foot with a small amount of money. The clerk was not injured during the incident. The suspects are described as male white approximately 20-25 years of age, one wearing a white American eagle hoodie, light colored pants and black running shoes. The second suspect was described as wearing a dark hoodie with an unknown logo on the front, black pants, white running shoes. The K9 unit attended the scene and police are still investigating the incident. Any persons with information are asked to contact police 705 725-7025.
