Date: Sunday, July 19, 2015 – 4:07am

Police arrested a 22 year old male Sunday afternoon after he was found to be in breach of his court documents pertaining to his estranged girlfriend. The male is currently before the courts on charges with condition’s that he can have no associating with her. Sunday the victim attended the station and reported that he had contacted her. He was held for a bail hearing.

Date: Monday, July 20, 2015 – 2:00am

Witnesses contacted Barrie Police early Monday morning after receiving complaints of a vehicle striking a tree in the cities downtown core. Officers attended located the vehicle and the driver a short distance away. After speaking with the driver officers determined he was impaired and he was subsequently placed in custody. He provided samples of his breath both of which were over the legal limit. He was released with a future court date.

Date: Sunday, July 19, 2015 – 1:00am

A warm evening downtown resulted in the Barrie Police arresting six people for being intoxicated in public throughout the night. All parties were held until sober and issued a ticket for being drunk in public. In addition one 43 year old male who refused to use the toilet in his cell was charged with mischief when he repeatedly urinated on the floor and into the hall area.

Date: Saturday, July 18, 2015 – 6:00pm

A concerned citizen called Barrie Police to report a suspected drunk driver. Police located the suspect as he was just pulling into his driveway. After speaking with the driver police believed the male was drunk. The 33 year old driver was arrested for impaired driving. He was transported to the Barrie Police Station where his breath samples were over double the legal limit. He now faces an additional charge of over 80. He was released once sober with a future court date.

Date: Sunday, July 19, 2015 – 1:00am

Police responded to a home in the Minets Point area when a female showed up to her neighbours house asking for police. Police attended and spoke with the female who had obvious injuries to her face. After taking a statement from the female police formed the grounds to charge her 25 year old boyfriend for assault. The male was arrested without incident and held for a bail hearing.

Date: Saturday, July 18, 2015 – 3:00am

Just after bar close Barrie Police observed a vehicle travelling in the downtown area with no lights on. Police began to follow the car and observed the driver was having troubles maintaining a straight line. Police activated their emergency equipment and as the vehicle pulled over the driver mounted the curb with the tires. After speaking with the female driver police formed the grounds that she was impaired by alcohol. The 23 year old female driver was arrested for impaired and transported to the Barrie Police Station for breath samples. She blew over the legal limit and has also been charged with the second offence of Over 80. She was released with a future court date.

Date: Friday, July 17, 2015 – 7:00pm

Barrie Police responded to a downtown residence around 7:00PM regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arriving Police spoke with a female who advised she had an argument with her boyfriend and when he left he destroyed a glass table and punched a hole in her door. Police checked the area for the 26 year old male suspect with negative results. A warrant will be sought against the male for the charges of Mischief and Breach Probation.
