On Saturday November 21, 2015, at 7:33pm Barrie Police received a call from a concerned citizen about a possible impaired driver on Ardagh Rd. The caller indicated the car was swerving into oncoming traffic and hit the curb when turning a corner. Officers stopped the car finding a very intoxicated 46 year old female Barrie resident behind the wheel. She was arrested and two breath samples over 200 were provided. She was charged with driving over the legal limit and will be in court on December 7th to face the charge.

On Sunday, November 22, 2015 Police arrested a 35 year-old Barrie male wanted on a warrant for theft under $5,000.
The male had attended Shoppers Drug Mart located on Bayfield Street on November 12, 2015. While inside he had stolen a Nikon Camera and quickly fled the store. Police reviewed surveillance and were able to determine the suspects identity.
The male will appear in bail court Monday morning.
