Occurrence Type: Domestic Assault

Date: Monday, July 20, 2015 – 5:00am

On Monday afternoon Barrie Police received a 911 call from a residence, however they could only hear sounds of yelling. Police ascertained the address and when officers attended found an intoxicated female and male in a heated argument. When officers spoke with the parties they discovered the intoxicated female came home and was upset that her husband didn’t open the door fast enough and began assaulting him. The female was placed in custody, charged with assault and held for a bail hearing.

Date: Monday, July 20, 2015 – 5:00am

On the 20th of July 2015 at approximately 5:00am, a 55 year old male attended the Barrie Police Station to turn himself in regards to a breach of undertaking allegation. The male party is presently before the Courts on Domestic Mischief charges with conditions not communicate with his wife, and it is alleged that he failed to abide by such conditions. The male party was held pending a bail hearing.

On the 20th of July 2015 at approximately 3:00am, Barrie Police attended a south end address in regards to a report of an ongoing domestic situation, where a 44 year old female was arrested and charged with domestic assault and mischief. It is alleged that the female attacked her former partner striking him about the head with a beer bottle and damaging property around the residence. The female was transported to the Barrie Police Headquarters where she was held pending a bail hearing.

Date: Monday, July 20, 2015 – 9:30am

On the 20th of July 2015 at approximately 9:30am a 59 year old male attended the Barrie Police Headquarters to turn himself into Police custody in regards to a breach of undertaking allegation. The male party was bound by conditions not to communicate with his wife as he is presently before the Courts on domestic related offences. The male was held in custody for bail.

Date: Monday, July 20, 2015 – 11:30pm

On the 20th of July 2015 at approximately 11:30am, Barrie Police attended the Wal-Mart store located on Bayfield St in regards to a shoplift call. Upon arrival, officers investigated a 26 year old male and found that he was presently on Probation bound by conditions not to attend Wal-mart as result of a separate theft incident. The male party was subsequently arrested and charged accordingly and held at the Barrie Police Station for a bail hearing.
