On Friday, August 28, 2015, shortly after midnight, Barrie police responded to an alarm call at Eastview Secondary School. Upon arrival police located a sixteen-year-old and two fifteen-year-old males inside the school.

With the beginning of a new school year only weeks away, the youths were not eager to start class, but wanted their pick of two school musical instruments.

The three Barrie youths were charged with break and enter and theft under $5,000. All three males were released into the custody of their parents.

On Friday August 28, 2015, at 2:40 a.m., Police attended the Barrie City marina after receiving a call from security advising two males had damaged a vehicle parked at the marina.

Upon arrival police located the two intoxicated males and observed a Corvette with extensive damage. The windshield had been smashed as a result of a rock thrown through it.

The two eighteen-year-old, Barrie males were arrested and charged with mischief over $5,000. Both males were later released when sober on a promise to appear with a court date in September.
