Occurrence Type: Break and Enter

Date: Tuesday, September 29, 2015 – 10:00am

On Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., police responded to a break and enter that had occurred on Cox Mill Drive, City of Barrie.

The homeowners advised police they had been away for a few days and returned home to find their home had been broken into. The residence had been secured and it’s believed the suspect(s) had manipulated the front door key pad to gain entry.

The suspect(s) damaged a kitchen chair, and then fled the residence stealing an IPod and laptop.

The investigation is ongoing. As a reminder, if you are departing your residence for a lengthy period of time, have a neighbour or family/friend check on your residence to ensure its security.

Date: Wednesday, September 30, 2015 – 6:50pm

On Thursday, September 30, 2015, at 6:50 p.m., police responded to a break and enter that occurred at a residence on Loyalist Drive, City of Barrie.

The homeowners advised their garage had been entered sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. It is believed the suspect(s) had entered through an unlocked side door, that provided access into the garage.

The suspect(s) fled the residence stealing 2 fishing rods and a bag of hockey equipment.

The investigation is ongoing.

Occurrence Type: Utter Threats and Obstruct Police

Date: Thursday, October 1, 2015 – 2:00am

On Thursday, October 1, 2015, just after 2:00 a.m., police received a call for three males being aggressive towards staff members and provoking fights while at the Last Class Pub, located on Georgian College Campus.

Upon arrival police were able to defuse the situation, although a 21-year-old male student continued to be aggressive towards officers and utter numerous death threats.

The 21-year-old, male was arrested and later released on a promise to appear with conditions. He will appear in a Barrie court in October
