Occurrence Type: Imapired and Over 80mgs

On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, shortly after midnight, police were called to the intersection of Lampman Lane and Leacock Drive, in the City of Barrie, for an impaired driver.

Upon arrival police located the stopped vehicle with a female driver inside. The female had obvious signs of alcohol impairment and was immediately arrested for impaired.

The female was transported to the Barrie Police station, where she provided breath samples. Further investigation determined she was two times over the legal limit and was further charged with over 80mgs.

The 37-year-old, Barrie female received a 90-day licence suspension and a 7-day vehicle impoundment. She will appear in a Barrie Court in November.

Occurrence Type: Uttering Threats

Date: Wednesday, October 28, 2015 – 6:30pm

On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at 6:30 p.m., police responded to The Beer Store, located on Anne Street, in the city of Barrie, upon receiving reports of a male threatening a store employee.

The male had threatened to cause bodily harm to the store manager after being refused service. He had been very agitated and displaying signs of impairment. Upon leaving the store he continued to cause a disturbance amongst patrons on site.

Police located the male at the corner of Dunlop and Anne Street. Further investigation led to the 30-year-old Barrie male being charged with breach of probation as well as uttering threats. The male will appear in bail court on Thursday morning.
