Occurrence Type: Attempted Break and Enter

On Thursday November 19, 2015 police were called to an address on Little Avenue, in the City or Barrie following an attempt break and enter.

The home owner indicated that overnight unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain access into residence through the front and back door. The suspect(s) were unable to gain entry and fled the area.

Police are reminding homeowner’s to ensure all points of entry into your home, including basement windows and garage side doors are secured. If your home is protected with an alarm utilized it, and make sure the alarm provider has updated contact information.

Occurrence Type: A Bike Ride Leads To An Arrest

Date: Thursday, November 19, 2015 – 10:30pm

While patrolling the downtown core police observed a male to be in possession of a stolen bicycle. The owner of the bicycle had reported his bike stolen on Saturday, November 13, 2015.

Police arrested a 52 year-old, Barrie male for possession of stolen property and three counts of breach of probation, and is wanted in three other provinces.

The accused was held for bail and will appear in court Friday morning.
