On Monday November 23, 2015 police were called to an address just before 2:00 p.m., on Tower Cres, in the City or Barrie following a break and enter.

The home owner had indicated that sometime throughout the day unknown suspect(s) gained access into residence as a result of kicking in the back door. The Barrie Police Ident Unit attended and was able to obtain evidence from the scene.

Homeowners are reminded to ensure all points of entry into your home, including basement windows and garage side doors are secured. If your home is protected with an alarm utilized it, and make sure the alarm provider has updated contact information.

On Monday November 23, 2015 police were called to an address just after 2:00 p.m., on Hanmer Street, in the City or Barrie following a break and enter.

The home owner had indicated that sometime throughout the day unknown suspect(s) gained access into residence as a result of smashing a main floor window. The Barrie Police Ident Unit attended and was able to obtain evidence from the scene.

Police are reminding homeowners if you arrive home and observed that you have been a victim of a break and enter and are unsure if someone is inside; please do not go into your home. Call 911 from neighbours home or from your cell phone.

Date: Tuesday, November 24, 2015 – 9:30pm

Police conducted a traffic stop on Bayfield Street Tuesday night. While speaking with the driver a strong odour of alcohol was emanating from his breath. The driver provided a roadside breath sample, which he failed.

Police arrested the 65 year-old Barrie male and transported him to the Barrie Police Station where he provided further breath samples. He has been charged with over 80 and now faces a 90 day licence suspension and a 7 day vehicle impoundment. He will appear in a Barrie Court in December.

Date: Tuesday, November 24, 2015 – 5:00pm

On Tuesday, November 24 2015, while patrolling the downtown area police located a female wanted on a warrant as a result of a surety revoke.

The 41-year-old, Barrie women was arrested and will appear in bail court Wednesday morning.
