Occurrence Type: A Craving For A Steak Leads To Jail Time

On Wednesday, February 21, 2016 just after 1:00 p.m., a male was arrested by security when we had been caught stealing steaks from No Frills, located at 165 Wellington Street, in the City of Barrie.

Police attended and further investigation determined; the accused was on probation as a result of being arrested and charged in July of 2015 for theft under $5,000 and fail to comply with probation.

The 31-year-old Barrie male was arrested and charged for the second time with theft under $5,000 and breach of probation. He will appear in bail in court Thursday morning.

On Wednesday, February 24, 2016 a resident of Robin Court, in the City of Barrie called police to assist with removing his son from his property, as he refused to comply with his request.

Upon arrival police located the 23-year-old male outside, and found he was wanted on two outstanding warrants for fail to attend court x2 and theft under $5,000.

He was arrested and will appear in bail court Thursday morning.
