Barrie Police were called to Sunnidale park for a female who appeared to be intoxicated walking towards a car with a small child.

The witness feared the female was about to drive and called Police.

Police located the vehicle on Cundles Rd and found the driver was impaired by alcohol.

She was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the Barrie Police Service for a breath test.

The 31 year old Barrie resident supplied breath samples of over 210mgs/mgs which was well over the legal limit of 80mgs/100ml.

She was held till sober and released to a May court date.

The child was safely reunited with his father.

A unmarked Barrie Police Traffic unit was driving southbound on Hwy 400 when it was passed by a silver SUV at a very high rate of speed.

The Officer began to follow the SUV and registered the suspect vehicle driving at a speed in excess of 170 khm on his radar.

The Officer managed to stop the vehicle south of Innisfil Beach Rd and investigated the driver for Stunt Driving and speeding.

A 26 year old Richmond Hill male was charged with Stunt driving and speeding Under the Highway traffic act. In addition, his vehicle was impounded for 7 days and his driver’s licence was suspended for 7 days.
