The Barrie police Service investigated the theft of a bus in the area of Dunlop Street and Heart Drive. The bus in question had been transformed by the owner/operator of Redneck Limo” into a limo/party bus. The Driver left the vehicle unoccupied in the area at which time two intoxicated males from the Alliston area seized the opportunity to take the vehicle for their own transportation back home to Alliston. Bystanders witnessed the theft and assisted police in locating the vehicle which was safely stopped on the southbound 400.

Officers investigated two 28 year old occupants and found them both to be intoxicated. Compounding the fact that the duo were found “red handed” in the Red Neck limo was the fact that both of them were on court imposed condition not to consume alcohol and one of them also to not be within the City of Barrie.

The driver provided a sample of his breath which was found to be almost three time the legal limit.

Both parties were held for bail on charges related to the theft
