On Friday April 24, 2015 at approximately 6:15 pm the Barrie Police Service received a call in regards to a disturbance in the area of Dunlop St West and Anne St North. Officers found a male and female that had been arguing however while speaking with the male learned that he was presently before the courts on a Break and Enter charge and was bound by conditions of a Recognizance not to consume alcohol.
The male was breaching the alcohol condition and was placed under arrest, upon searching he male officers located a quantity of marihuana. As a result the male will face an additional charge of possession of a substance.
As a result the 37 year old male was transported to the station where he will be held pending a bail hearing.

Date: Saturday, April 25, 2015 – 1:45am
On Saturday April 25, 2015 at approximately 1:45 am the Barrie Police Service received information about a highly intoxicated male that was in a downtown parking lot banging on the windows of a vehicle.
Officers arrived on scene located the drunk male who was clearly a danger to himself and taken into custody for his own safety.
The was no damage to the vehicle.
The male will be released from the station once sober.

On Saturday April 25 just after midnight the Barrie Police Service received a call to attend the Out of the Cold Program in regards to a male party causing a disturbance.
When officers arrived they learned that the male party that was causing the disturbance was wanted on an outstanding warrant for the offence of Failing to Comply with Probation.
As a result the 45 year old male was placed under arrest and transported to the station where he was held pending a bail hearing.

On April 24th Barrie Police responded to eighteen (18) false 911 calls, one of which was for a caller asking for advice from Police on a bad tenant”.
Barrie Police remind residents to lock their cellular phones where possible to avoid ” pocket dials”.
