At approx. 2230Hrs, a member of the Barrie Police was operating a marked police vehicle in a south Barrie neighbourhood. The officer was nearly struck by an oncoming vehicle that was driving in the wrong lane of traffic. Police conducted a vehicle stop and the male driver was arrested for Impaired Operation and Dangerous Driving. The male party was taken to the police station where an analysis of his breath revealed he was several times over the legal limit. He was lodged in cells until sober and will appear before the courts at a later date.

Barrie Police responded to a north Barrie location after staff at a fast food restaurant observed an intoxicated patron leaving in a vehicle. Officers subsequently located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The male driver of the vehicle was arrested for Impaired Operation and taken to the station. He was lodged in cells until sober and will appear before the courts at a later date.

At approx. 0026Hrs, an officer in a west Barrie neighbourhood conducted a routine stop of a vehicle. During the investigation, the officer noticed the driver exhibiting signs of alcohol intoxication. The female driver was arrested and brought to the station. An analysis of her breath revealed that she was twice the legal limit. She was held in cells until sober and released with a future court date.
