(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) –On August 26, 2016, at approximately 3:22 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Officers along the Wellington County OPP Crime Unit and the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) responded to a call concerning a person barricaded in an apartment on Allan Street East, in the town of Clifford.
The roads near the incident were closed due to concerns for public safety. At approximately 5:05 p.m. a man was arrested and taken in to custody. All roads have been reopened.
Police are continuing to investigate and urge any members of the public that might have information regarding this incident to contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
