Barnyard Arrest – Scott White, James Warner, Ronald Kirkbride

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Wednesday August 15, 2012, shortly after 8:30 a.m. a Perth County OPP officer operating a marked cruiser was driving behind a GMC Yukon on Line 43 east of Amulree. The Yukon made a sudden turn towards a laneway, but failing to negotiate the turn entered the ditch. After a brief stop in the ditch the Yukon drove into a cornfield and turned back towards the laneway in an attempt to evade police. The Yukon operator failed to stop for the cruiser which had its emergency lighting activated and drove at a high rate of speed towards the farm house and barns where the property owners were in attendance. The Yukon came to a safe stop as the fenced barn yard provided no escape for the vehicle.

The occupants of the SUV were spoken to and it was determined that there were numerous criminal code violations. As a result, 3 males were arrested and charged for the following offences.

Scott White (35) of Kitchener has been charged with “flight from police”, “mischief under $5,000.”, and “dangerous operation of a motor vehicle”. He will be appearing for a bail hearing in Stratford Court on August 16, 2012.

James Warner (35) of Fergus has been charged with “failing to comply with condition of recognizance”. He will be appearing for a bail hearing in Stratford Court on August 16, 2012.

Ronald Kirkbride (33) of Kitchener has been charged with “breach of probation” and “possession of break in instruments”. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on September 24, 2012, to answer to these charges.
