Barbara Towns – Drunk Driving – Ditched Vehicle – Hit Hydro Pole – 2 Counts Impaired Operation Causing Bodily Harm – Open Liquour – Failure to Ensure Children Secured

(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) – On November 30th, 2010 at 5:04 pm, the South Bruce OPP received a report a single vehicle crash on the Bervie Sideroad in Kincardine Township. Officers attended to find tracks indicating the vehicle entered the ditch, hit a hydro pole and a field access lane before coming to rest with extensive damage.

Investigation revealed that the driver had been drinking alcohol. 31 year old Barbara Towns of Kincardine Township is charged with Impaired Operation, 2 counts of Impaired Operation causing bodily harm, Failing to provide breath sample, Drive with open container of liquor, Failing to ensure child properly secured, Failing to ensure toddler properly secured.

he vehicle occupants were taken, by ambulance, to the South Bruce Grey health centre in Kincardine for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
