On Tuesday, April 7, 2015, a man was arrested and charged with the robbery of four financial institutions and one retail robbery.
It is alleged that:
– from Saturday, April 4, 2015, to Tuesday, April 7, 2015, a man entered four different bank branches.
– in three of the robberies, the man handed over a robbery note indicating he had a gun and demanded money
– in the subsequent robbery, he verbally indicated to the teller that he was robbing them and stated he had a gun
– the man received a quantity of money in each robbery
It is further alleged that:
– on Sunday, April 5, 2015, the man entered a retail store in the Danforth Avenue and Pape Avenue area.
– the man made a verbal demand for money and stated he had a gun
– the man got agitated and left the store emptyhanded
Tyrone Jason Wilson, 42, of Toronto, was arrested on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. He has been charged with:
1) five counts of Robbery
He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, room 501.
