Barrie Police downtown officers observed several individuals causing a disturbance near a local restaurant. One of the males identified by police had been charged a few months prior for assault and one count of sexual assault.
The male had been released on a promise to appear in conjunction with an undertaking given to an officer in charge. The male had several conditions including to abstain from contacting or communicating directly or indirectly with another male next to him in the parking lot.
As a result, the male was placed under arrest for failing to comply with the conditions of his undertaking. He was transported to the station and held for a bail hearing.
