On July 16, 2015 at 3:23am, a backhoe tractor caught on fire at the intersection of Wellington Street North and King Street West in Kitchener. The flames were put out by Kitchener Fire Department. The value of the backhoe, estimated at approximately $120,000, sustained severe damage. The owners were notified of the incident. At this time the cause of the fire is undetermined and investigation is ongoing.
