In an effort to monitor back to school traffic yesterday, the Chatham-Kent Police Service Traffic Management Unit travelled throughout several school zones across the Municipality.
Officers issued four tickets for various infractions against the Highway Traffic Act. Police will also be following up on a complaint about a school bus being illegally passed.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service will continue to monitor school zones this week with their focus being on school related enforcement. Back to school safety is a community effort. Let’s make the 2013-2014 school year a safe one here in Chatham-Kent.
