(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Thursday August 14, 2014, shortly after 2:30 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a collision involving an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and a Buick Rendezvous at the intersection of Perth Line 44 (Bornholm Rd), and Road 170 (between Bornholm and Brodhagen).
Investigation revealed that the ATV was being driven on Perth Line 44 when it was struck by the west bound Rendezvous. The impact resulted in the ATV and the ATV operator to be thrown into the ditch area on the south west corner of the intersection.
The 16 year old ATV operator, a male resident of the Municipality of West Perth was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries. The 78 year old female driver of the Rendezvous, a resident of Fergus was uninjured as a result of the crash.
Both the ATV and the Rendezvous sustained extensive damage as a result of the collision. The Perth County OPP is continuing its investigation into this crash.
