(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) – On July 22, 2013 at 8:17 pm, a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol along Bruce County Road 15 in Kincardine Township stopped a Black Polaris All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV). The officer noticed that the 2 males were riding the ATV without helmets. The 18 year old driver was charged for Fail to wear helmet and the 16 year old passenger received a warning.
The South Bruce OPP wants to ensure that ATV riders are wearing a proper helmet each time they ride. Riding without a helmet isn’t just illegal, it’s unsafe.
The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or send a web-tip to crimestop-gb.org, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
