(ST. MARYS, ON) -The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating an attempted abduction in the Town of St. Marys.
At approximately 7:35 p.m., on December 9, 2017, a 9-year-old boy was walking in the area of Station Street and Church Street when he was approached by an oncoming motor vehicle.
The adult male driver offered a ride, exited the vehicle and unsuccessfully attempted to grab the child. The vehicle left the area and the child arrived safely at his residence.
The driver is described as an older Caucasian male with a deep voice and an average build. The vehicle is described as a sport utility vehicle (SUV).
Members of the Perth County OPP are asking that anyone who may have information to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 393-6123.
