Attempt Suicide

Incident #: WA15106414

Incident Date: May 20, 2015

Location: EAGLE ST N, CAMBRIDGE, ON Canada

On Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at 6:18pm, Cambridge Core Areas Patrol (CCAP) officers located a Cambridge male on a set of train tracks. CCAP officers were able to talk the male off of the tracks and then prevented him from jumping off of a second story balcony. Waterloo Regional Police were called, and attended the scene, where the male was brought safely to the hospital for assessment. The CCAP Program aims to increase the safety and policing presence throughout the three core areas of Cambridge: Galt City Centre, Preston Towne Centre, and Hespeler Village. From the long weekend in May until the last weekend in August, CCAP officers will patrol the three core areas, and can help the community with directions, First Aid and CPR, questions about safety and call the Police on someone’s behalf. They are ambassadors and are helping us build a safer community.
