On January 3, 2014 at approximatetly 8:00 p.m., a male entered the Lorne Ave Mini Mart, located at 750 Lorne Avenue and attempted to rob the store at knife point. The store owner fought the suspect off with a golf club, striking the suspect numerous times. The suspect gave up and fled on foot.
Robbery Suspect
The suspect is described as male white, 20-30 years old, 5’10-6′ tall, medium build.
The suspect was wearing:
– Black toque, scarf and gloves
– Grey hooded sweatshirt under a dark grey wool jacket
– Beige coloured docker-style pants
– Brown shoes
The London Police Service Robbery Unit investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this suspect. It is believed that the suspect sustained injuries to one or both of his forearms after being struck with the golf club.
