On August 1, 2013, the Guelph Police attended to a William Street residence to investigate an attempted break and enter. The homeowner called police after finding that someone had climbed onto her balcony and attempted to open her screen door and a window. No entry was gained. On August 5, 2013, the Guelph Police attended to a Scottsdale Drive business to investigate an attempted break and enter. A rock was thrown through a side window of the business which damaged several display items. No entry was gained through the window.
