Assault causing bodily harm

Barrie Police were called to a Marion St address for a fight between roommates.

Police were told two tenants had always disliked each other and were always in conflict.

The pair were arguing when the suspect lost his temper and began assault the victim.

The suspect repeatedly punched the victim in the face and continued striking him when he became defenseless.

Police attended and arrested a 53 year old Barrie resident for assault causing bodily harm and is facing a May court date.

The 51 year old victim was taken to RVH for treatment of facial injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this incident.
