Police were called by witnesses on Dunlop Street Sunday afternoon who saw an assault take place. A man walking on the sidewalk punched another male as they passed each other.
The suspect continued walking and made his way to the bus terminal where he was arrested by police for assault. After speaking with the victim and witnesses, police determined that this was an unprovoked attack on an innocent victim. He sustained minor injury to his face that did not require medical attention.
A 28 year old male of no fixed address was held for bail, charged with assault and failing to comply with probation.
