On Wednesday February 8, 2017 at approximately 8:00 p.m., London Police responded to a robbery at a pharmacy located at 1155 Commissioners Road East.
Two adult males entered the pharmacy disguised with masks and armed with a firearm. They demanded prescription medication from staff. An undisclosed quantity of medication was provided before they fled in an awaiting stolen vehicle. No one at the scene sustained any injuries.
London Police Officers responding to the call observed the suspect vehicle driving westbound on Commissioners Road East. A short pursuit was initiated that resulted in the apprehension of the two males.
As a result of the investigation, 34-year-old Vaughn French and 38-year-old Konrad French (both of Muncey) are charged jointly with:
– Two counts of Armed Robbery, contrary to Section 343(d) of the Criminal Code of Canada;– –
-Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, contrary to Section 354(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada;
– Use of firearm during the commission of an indictable offence, contrary to Section 85(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– Occupy motor vehicle with firearm, contrary to Section 91(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act 5(2)
– Disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence, contrary to Section 351(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada
Konrad French is further charged with:
– Three counts of Driving while disqualified, contrary to Section 259(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– Flight while pursued by Peace Officer, contrary to Section 249.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, contrary to Section 249.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– Breach of probation, contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– Pointing a firearm, contrary to Section 87(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– Three counts of Possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order, contrary to Section 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– Theft not exceeding $5,000, contrary to Section 334(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– Mischief not exceeding $5,000, contrary to Section 430(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– Three counts of Unauthorized Possession of a prohibited weapon, contrary to Section 91(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada
Vaughn French is further charged with:
– Four counts of Fail to comply with Recognizance, contrary to Section 145(3) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– Two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a prohibited weapon, contrary to Section 91(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada
