Arrests in investigation into pharmacy robberies, Three men face 27 charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of three arrests in a Robbery investigation.

On Monday, April 20, 2015, a joint police investigation by Toronto Police Service Hold Up and Durham Region Hold Up led to the arrest of three men in connection with a series of pharmacy robberies.

Between Wednesday, September 24, 2014 and Monday, April 20, 2015, a series of pharmacy robberies occurred, three in Durham Region and three in Toronto.

It is alleged that:

– the men would approach the victim, display a handgun, and make a demand for specific drugs

– the drugs were placed in a bag and the men fled

Shawn Barber, 29, of Oshawa, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) six counts of Robbery while armed

2) six counts of Disguise with intent

3) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

Timothy Barber, 32, of Oshawa, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) three counts of Robbery while armed

2) three counts of Disguise with intent

3) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

4) two counts of Fail to Comply Probation

Brian Barber, 49, of Millbrook, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) four counts of Robbery while armed

2) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

The three accused appeared in court at College Park on Tuesday, April 21, 2015.
