Arrest of Two Men in Georgetown Nets Drugs and Cash

On the 2nd of September 2016, One District Street Crime officers with the assistance of K9 and uniform officers concluded a drug investigation into a Glen Williams resident.

The suspect was observed conducting an alleged drug transaction with another male. The two men were arrested without incident and officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant.

Investigators seized approximately 1.5 kilograms of marihuana, over $5,000 Canadian currency, cannabis resin, and psilocybin. Officers also located and dismantled a small marihuana grow operation.

George BURDETT (18yrs) of Georgetown

Produce a controlled substance (marihuana)

Trafficking in a controlled substance (marihuana)

Possession for the purpose of trafficking (marihuana)

2 counts of Possession of a controlled substance (cannabis resin/ psilocybin)

Ryan BAYLEY (18yrs) of Georgetown

Possession of a controlled substance (marihuana)

Both males were released on undertakings and are scheduled to appear in Milton Court.
