On November 8, 2015 the Guelph police entered into an investigation regarding a sexual assault at the University of Guelph. A female victim was studying for an exam with a male who was known to her at a University residence when she was sexually assaulted. On November 9, 2015 an arrest was made.
A 20-year-old Toronto male has been charged with sexual assault, forcible confinement, assault and uttering threats. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
