On August 3, 2016, just before 7 p.m., a female entered a Variety Store on King Street West, at Hess Street, brandishing a knife and demanded money. The clerk refused, and she tried to pry open the register with no success. She eventually left empty-handed, fleeing eastbound on King Street. Less than 4 minutes later, as police responded to the scene, an officer saw the woman fitting the description, on foot in the area and she was arrested for robbery.
Bail is being opposed.
