Arrest

Early Wednesday morning two male victims were walking home along Browning Trail with friends. Two of the friends associated to the victims became involved in a physical altercation. During thisdispute a female emerged from a residence and became involved in the altercation, somehow she was knocked to the ground and at that point the accused came from the same residence armed with a expandable steel baton. The two victims who were attempting to break up the fight were both struck in the head with this baton by the accused. Police attended and investigated the matter. The 32 year old accused was arrested and charged with two count of assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous and fail to comply recognizance. He was held for bail. The two victims were taken to RVH for treatment and released.
