A 29 year old Scarborough male is in police custody this morning after he was stopped by the York Regional Police Service Wednesday afternoon. During the roadside stop it was discovered that the male was the subject of several outstanding warrants held by the Barrie Police Service. He was arrested and later brought back to Barrie where he will be attending bail court facing charges of fail to appear, assault with a weapon (2 counts) and attempt robbery with a weapon. The substantive charges date back to an incident in February 2012.
