On the 12th of February, 2014 the officer in charge of the investigation involving fraudulently obtained medical prescriptions was at the courthouse on an unrelated criminal court trial.
The officer recognized a male at the courthouse that had been identified as being involved in the prescription forgery case. The 28 year Barrie male was placed under arrest and charged with 3 offences:
1. Possession of Forged Documents
2. Use Forged Documents
3. Possession of a controlled substance.
The accused was released with a future court date.
There are now 18 outstanding individual’s in regards to this ongoing investigation.
