Arrest

On the 18th of August 2014 at approximately 8:30pm members of the Barrie Police Street Crime Unit were conducting an investigation in the area of Little Ave and Bayview Dr in the City of Barrie.

During their investigation, officers watched two vehicles meet up in a parking lot, conduct a drug transaction and then attempt to leave the area. Officers stopped both cars prior to their departure and arrested two males for trafficking in a controlled substance.

Officers during their investigation located a small quantity of marihuana and a prohibited weapon.

One of the parties a 23 year old Barrie male was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The second, an 18 year old Barrie male was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon contrary to a prohibition order.

Both males were released with a future court date.
